Boyaa Interactive announced its first quarter results of 2019
The revenue was about 80.2 million yuan, and the net profit increased by about 188.3% month on month. The company increased efforts to expand the overseas market, and the ARPPU value of overseas Texas hold 'em poker increased.

[May 23, 2019] China's leading board game developer and operator, Boyaa Interactive International Limited ("Boyaa Interactive" or "Company", together with its affiliates, collectively known as the "Group" , stock code: 0434),today is pleased to announce its unaudited consolidated performance for the three months(during the reporting period) ended 31 March 2019 (the first quarter performance).

In the first quarter of 2019, the Group earned about RMB 80.2 million yuan, down 49.8% from the same period in 2018 and 4.8% from the fourth quarter of 2018. In the first quarter of 2019, our non-audited non-IFRS adjusted net profit was about RMB 40.4 million yuan, which was 51.5% lower than that of the same period in 2018. The year-on-year decrease was mainly due to the impact of income decline on profits, but it was about 188.3% higher than that of the fourth quarter of 2018. Excluding the impact of one-off non-operating projects, the non-audited non-IFRS adjusted net profit in the first quarter of 2019 was basically the same as that in the fourth quarter of 2018. Gross profit margin was about 68.8%, up about 3.7% month on month . Net interest rates rose by about 33.9% to 50.0% month on month, while the non-audited non-IFRS adjusted net profit was about 50.3%, up about 33.7%.

In the first quarter of 2019, the group's revenue declined year-on-year, mainly due to the impact of the Apple incident from the second quarter of 2017, and from the second quarter of 2018, policy risk factors and the gradual shift of web games to mobile terminal with the industry trend led to the decline of the revenue generated by web games.

The ARPPU value of overseas Texas hold 'em poker web version and mobile version has increased

In the first quarter of 2019, the number of paid players and users of the group decreased slightly compared with the fourth quarter of 2018. The number of paid players fell 1.2% from about 0.49 million in the fourth quarter of 2018 to about 0.48 million in the first quarter of 2019. Daily active users fell 9.9% to 2.6 million in the first quarter of 2019 from about 2.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2018. However, the ARPPU value of overseas Texas hold 'em poker web version and mobile version has increased.

Efforts to build online and offline competitions series brand, successfully held the offline BPT 2019 Vietnam Hanoi Competition

In the first quarter of 2019, the group successfully held the offline BPT 2019 Vietnam Hanoi competition, aiming at promoting players’ activity and loyalty through the competition, expanding the user base of the competition, making BPT brand penetrate into Vietnam chess and card, and enhancing the enterprises’ brand awareness of Boyaa chess and cards.
